Mind, Body, Soul, SpiritThis month we are talking about habits of  successful leaders; particularly high-achieving women.

This week, we are looking at NON-NEGOTIABLE DAILY self-care.
I repeat – NON-NEGOTIABLE DAILY.

High-achieving women have this God-given ability to jump higher, run further, sprint faster and juggle more all while saying to themselves – “I’m fine,” “I’m okay,” and “I can do this!

Take it from this high-achieving woman, this will only last so long.

Burnout is right around the corner. Or, minimally, “less than your personal best” is definitely looming.

Please, please implement these THREE self-care practices to keep your high-achieving self in high gear as you run your race with the best possible you.

Am I begging at this point? Yep, I believe so!

In this order, please….

PRAYER

Praying does not require some huge time block that you can’t find on your calendar. It is NOT, “one more thing to do.”

Prayer is the foundation of your world. Without it, all the success you think you have is nothing but a farce.

Pray in the morning, throughout your day and when you go to bed.

Many women struggle to draw close to God. I would love to help you with this! Contact me now and let’s discuss it.

EXERCISE

I know, “where will I find the time for this?” I get it!

The thought of exercise and even the desire to do it is alive and well inside of you. But, you can’t “fit in one more thing.

Time to get creative!

Can you get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning to walk inside/outside? If you have stairs in your home or office – go up and down them several times.

Fall is a great time for outdoor activities. Get out in the evenings and on weekends.

Purchase a video routine put it on your calendar and do it. Set a goal and review it daily. Grab someone to keep you accountable.

How about lifting small hand weights at your desk?  A consistent little goes a long way.

I lived many years trying to “make time” for exercise. When I finally got serious, I was so grateful!

My attitude improved, I slept better and my mind was sharper.

INVENTORY

Successful people don’t assume.

They inventory themselves so they are always doing their best to go where God is leading and to apply the learning opportunities that every day holds.

Questions we need to ask ourselves DAILY include:
– What did I do today to add value to others?
– To whom do I owe an amends?
– Did I advance God’s plan for me today?
– What am I avoiding?
– What am I thankful for today?
– What’s on the agenda for tomorrow?
